We enterred the sporting class at the Cascade Quest.   The sporting class consisted of teams of 2-6 dogs and negotiated a challenging 12 mile trail.  Team finished in  9th place out of 12 teams with times of 1 hour 38 minutes on saturday and 1 hour 28 minutes on Sunday.

 

We enterred the 6 dog purebred sprint class.  Trail was 5.7 miles.  Team finished in first place out of two teams with times of 41 minutes the first day and 50 the second.  The second day I had to put one of my dogs in the sled after he pulled back due to a shoulder strain.

 

Nova and Dasher enterred the IABCA Dog Shows in Enumclaw WA.  Both received very positive evaluations and their International Championships after two days of showing (two shows per day).

Dashing Sams teams finishes 13th out of 15 teams and averages close to 11 mph in the 6 sprint.  This was a "team" record for time and we're very proud of these dogs!

Dashing Sams team compete in the Roslyn Spring fling taking third place in the 8 dog sprint.

 

May 2008.  Dasher, Mingus, Sparkle and Willow all earn new working titles through the Samoyed Club of America.  Dasher earns his working samoyed title, Sparkle her working samoyed title.  Mingus earns his working samoyed excellent title.  Willow earns her working samoyed title.  Points were earned in competitive sledding, competitive cart racing, excursion sledding and carting and herding (instinct testing).

December 2008:  Donner and Blizzard earn their Working Samoyed titles through the Samoyed Club of America.  Both boys earn their points through sled racing, cart racing, sled excursions, and cart excursions.

 

January 17-18, 2009:  Dashing Sams compete at the Chemult Sled Dog Races in Chemult Oregon.  Two teams run, a 6 and a 4 dog team.  Our 6 dog team places 6th and turns in times of 32:00 and 32:41 for 5.5 miles.

 

February 7-8, 2009:  Dashing Sams compete at the Priest Lake Sled Dog Races.  The six dog team places 6th again in the 6 dog class with times of 32:34 and 34:48 for 5.7 miles.

 

February 28-March 1, 2009:  Dashing Sams compete at the Frog Lake 2 Sled Dog Races.  The team places 6th in the 6 dog competition with a time of 1:09:55 for both days (5.6 miles each day).

 

 

August 2009:  Am Int Ch Sizzlin's Supernova Stardust, Nova passes her CGC test.

 

August 2009:  Dashing Hi Sierra Skyewalker, Skye, finishes his International Championship in Post Falls
